About Stûv America
Stûv America sets itself apart from other suppliers by offering customers innovative wood-burning appliances that combine both aesthetics and performance. Certified to meet the strictest standards of the North American market, all Stûv appliances are high quality and durable. They offer an incomparable fireplace experience both in terms of heat and in the beauty of the flames.
Founded in 2007, Stûv America has succeeded at adapting the Belgian engineered devices both from a conceptual point of view (adaptation to local standards, development of added accessories, and more), and in the translation of the European design approach for the North American market. From now on, some of the devices will be manufactured at the expanded Bromont plant. Stûv offers more than 35 models of wood-burning stoves and fireplaces designed to last a lifetime.
About la Maison Éphémère
This is the second such show of its kind. Earlier this year, the Quebec Trade Office partnered with Luminaire Authentik for a similarly branded showcase event in their Toronto showroom, entitled La Maison Sensible. Both events serve as conduits for Quebec furniture designers and the design communities they serve.
Stûv America invites Vancouver Interior Design Show (IDS show) visitors, as well as all lovers of wood-burning appliances, to come and discover its unique stoves and fireplaces at La Maison Éphémère, located in the Switzer Cult Creative Showroom in Vancouver’s Design District, on September 22 and 23, 2022. La Maison Éphémère showcases Stûv appliances (Stûv 16-68 H and Stûv 30-c), as well as products from five other Quebec companies selected by Investissement Québec.
“Western Canadian consumers have always had a great interest in wood stoves and fireplaces because of their climate, their lifestyles, and the accessibility of the resource (wood),” explains Vincent Boudreau, co-owner and founder of Stûv America. “The timeless aesthetics of our appliances and their efficiency perfectly meet the needs of customers in the Vancouver area, who are looking for efficient appliances that respect current environmental standards, and whose aesthetics will enhance their decor for many years.”
“Over the past few years, we have seen a real interest in our appliances in Western Canada and have more than doubled our partners in the territory. Stoves, such as the ones that will be presented at La Maison Éphémère, are still extremely popular. However, we are seeing strong growth in interest in the Stûv 21 and Stûv 21-clad, which are fireplaces with a guillotine door that have large combustion chambers to provide ambiance and performance,” adds Corey Anthony, Director of Business Development.
Durable and efficient appliances
Since 2007, Stûv America has offered North American consumers the Belgian Stûv range of wood-burning appliances, all of which undergo work at the Quebec plant, where they are either entirely manufactured, assembled, or adapted to regional standards. All 35 models of Stûv wood-burning fireplaces and stoves are designed according to the philosophy of design thinking through which no element is neglected, from aesthetics and atmosphere, to performance and ease of installation and use. Here, every detail, every function is integrated to optimize the user experience.
Stûv wood-burning appliances meet the strictest environmental standards and are constantly being improved in terms of performance and the reduction of fine particle emissions.
