The construction site is located in the suburbs, 30 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City.
This place has a typical tropical climate, the average annual temperature is always high. Currently, residents in the area mainly go to work in the city center and return during the day.
The form of 1-story houses is very popular here, most of which are works with a lifespan of about 30 years, some degraded houses are renovated or built to suit the economy of the people.
The work is built on the old house’s ground, the ground floor has a special shape, located between the surrounding houses.
The client is a family of 4 members, they want the house to have lots of cool natural spaces, and a certain degree of privacy.
The design plan actively places the functional spaces around the garden in the middle of the building, which is the main light source, helping family members easily connect with each other.
The main façade is separated into 2 brick walls built before and after, creating a buffer space between them, which helps to avoid direct sunlight, and at the same time helps to naturally ventilate the inside of the building.
Raw brick is a commonly used material in this area, it is suitable for tropical climates. The architect chose this material as the main feeling, combined with natural walnut wood on the white paint, the kitchen and toilet areas are adorned with several pieces of black and white patterned cement tiles as accents.
The design plan has brought a living space that is both cool and cozy, alternating with green trees, helping people living in it feel more relaxed.
