City Life Awaits
After her divorce from Donald Trump, Ivana spent time working on creating her own fashion lines, authored several books, made cameos in various movies and television shows, and even hosted her own reality show called Ivana Young Man. Ivana’s eye-catching home in Manhattan, New York features luxe finishes throughout, including authentic silk wallpaper on the first floor, a gold-embossed marble fireplace, and a sparkling crystal chandelier.
The dining room is replete with Versailles-inspired touches and has large windows that look out to an interior courtyard.
The primary bedroom is located on the third floor and includes three French doors that lead to a private terrace. The dining area of the home also includes an additional smaller eat-in area with floor-to-ceiling windows. Trump’s ensuite bathroom is covered in pink onyx marble with a massive soaking tub and a double sink.
Ivana’s Personality is Found Throughout
Ivana Trump was known for her wild style, her eye for fashion, and her love of all things luxurious. So, it’s not surprising that you’ll see touches of her unique personality everywhere throughout her Manhattan home. For example, the home office area is complete with leopard-print furniture and an onyx fireplace with sleek gold detailing.
The office even includes its own walk-in closet. The walls are covered in leopard print paneling and along the carpeting, while a painting of two leopards sits above the sofa. Windows feature gold-tone moldings and gold-colored drapes.
Upon entering the home, guests are greeted with an impressive, curved staircase. All guest rooms overlook the lush trees and landscaping of New York’s 64th Street. The home also includes a large media room and a luxurious sauna where the new resident can relax and soothe those aching muscles.
This historic New York City home sold for $2.5 million in 1992 after Ivana’s divorce from Donald Trump was finalized. It was built in 1879 and features a columned exterior, a mansard-style roof, and custom-designed gold and black grilled doors. Once the sale is complete, the proceeds will go to her three children whom she shares with Donald Trump: Ivanka, Donald Jr., and Eric.
Son Eric Trump said that his mother loved that house, and he stated that the furniture inside could be negotiated as part of the final sale. Details like gold fabric ceilings and plentiful chandeliers give this home a bold touch of dramatic personality and style. In Ivana’s 2017 book entitled “Raising Trump,” she described part of the home as “how Louis XVI would have lived if he had money.”
She also described the home as “whimsical” and noted that the townhome needed quite a bit of work when she purchased it since it had originally been used as a dentist’s office and no one had lived in it as a primary residence for approximately 12 years. It’s clear that Ivana spared no expense when it came to every detail from the marble touches to the gilded elements found throughout this breathtaking Manhattan home.
