A Gray Foyer Doesn’t Have To Be Boring
Gray is one of the most popular tones for foyers. A total of 17.17 percent of foyers have a gray design. This is a popular wall color since neutral tones are easy to work with, and you can combine gray with any accent color you like to give your foyer more personality.
If you look at gray foyer design ideas, you will find that gray walls don’t have to be boring. You can make a gray foyer more interesting by adding a touch of color with some purple or even pink drapes. And you don’t have to work with monochromatic gray walls. Use stencils to create interesting patterns and mix different shades of gray or combine gray with white or aqua accents.
Gray And Color Accents
Gray is a popular color for foyer walls because it makes it very easy to add some fun color accents. In fact, 18.16 of foyers have gray walls. There are different ways of adding color accents to a gray design. Colored vinyl or ceramic tiles would be a good way to make a gray design livelier. Choosing a light gray paint for your walls would make sense if you have hardwood flooring with a dark and rich tone.
Work With Marbled Surfaces
You can create a foyer that evokes luxury and good taste by adding some marbled surfaces. This pattern mixes gray and white hues in a unique manner, but you can also find marbled wallpaper or vinyl flooring that mix gray with another color. Marble flooring would be an interesting choice for a luxurious effect, but you can add marble surfaces to your foyer with wallpaper or a vanity with a marbled top. Combine marbled surfaces with metallic silver or gold accents for a classy atmosphere!
Choose The Right Hue For Your Gray Design
If you want to start with neutral tones to draw attention to other design elements, cloud, silver, or coin gray would be good choices. Think about painting your walls in one of these hues if you have white wooden panels or white furniture. You can work with other shades like pewter, slate or lead gray if you have chosen a marine-theme for your foyer. These hues will work as darker accent colors if you have some blue in your foyer design. You can also combine darker hues like charcoal or smoke with rich colors like wine red or emerald green if you want a foyer design that evokes luxury.
