Welcome to today’s gallery, highlighting the fantastical ecoPerch Music Studio, a unique creation by Blue Forest Treehouse Design and Construction.
Located in Essex, the ecoPerch Music Studio was purpose built for the client, with Blue Forest crafting a striking yet inviting space for music recording. The building is decked out with cedar lining and a zinc facade. The wide sliding glass door entryway allows for natural light and fresh air on warm summer days.
The studio has been engineered to ensure an acoustically perfect recording environment.
With an interior that allows space for several musicians and attendant instruments, the open design is an important part of making the space a creativity magnet.
The entire structure was built on the client’s property, but physically separated by a lawn and lengthy walkway. This was an important decision, to separate both mentally and physically the clutter of home life from the artistic bubble of the studio.

With this close, angled view of the front of the building, we see the natural wood encircling the interior of the structural oval, surrounded by the zinc facade.
With its gently sloping roof, the building enshrouds a sheltered patio space with a single circular window paired with the sliding glass door.
In addition to the mixing desk and mobile sound booth, the ecoPerch studio is conducive to relaxation, replete with this large built-in sofa and small kitchenette, including wine cooler. Canister lighting throughout provides focused illumination.
Along with the relaxation space and kitchenette, the studio incorporates a small bathroom, ensuring that the artist can remain within the creative space as long as necessary.
Viewed from the side of the main house, we see the ecoPerch studio standing at the end of a long natural wood pathway, extending from the expansive deck surrounding the home.
