When I learned about InteriorAI software, I had to give it a shot. Since InteriorAI rolled out, several other AI design software options have emerged.
I toyed with the free version. Quickly upgraded to Pro. Watch it in action:
What is this AI Interior Design Software?
You upload a photo of a room. It can be empty or have furniture.
Choose your design style.
Wait a few seconds and voila, you have a new design.
Example #1
Here’s an example. The original empty room is on the left. The right is the AI interior design in farmhouse style:
Not bad, right?
Here are more designs using the blank room above:

Example #2
Below is a gallery with the original, empty room is first followed by AI-generated interior designs for many different styles.
Will this software produce polished, ready-to-go designs?
No, it won’t. Proportions are often wrong. There’s skewed dimensions. When you look closely, you’ll notice many imperfections but that’s the not point. What this AI interior design software does is generate design ideas for any space. With that purpose in mind, it does a killer job IMO.
Is there a free version to try?
Yes. There’s a free version you can try to see if it’s for you. It is very limited feature-wise. The monthly cost isn’t terribly high. If you want it for a new project, you can probably get all the ideas you need in one month.
Will this AI interior design software put interior designers out of business?
No, not at all. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if interior designers incorporated this in their inspiration/ideas phase for clients. It can’t hurt IMO. The reason it won’t put designers out of business is the ideas phase is just one part of the entire design process. This software produces very, very rough renderings at best. Each must be fine-tuned. Then there’s the sourcing of products. Lastly, there’s the implementation of the design and product in the home (or whatever space it is).
