I can tell ya right off the bat that I would not be keen for sharing an office but I get how in some circumstances it’s a great arrangement and even necessary. For one, if you have only one room for an office you may need to design it for two or more people. In other situations, perhaps the two people using it work together and it’s much more efficient/enjoyable to share the space.
Whatever your reason for wanting a home office with two or more workstations, not only can it be done but as you’ll see below, it can look amazing. Most two-workstation office examples below use built-in desk arrangements (but not all). Here they are.
1. Small home office space with two workstations
Who says you can’t have two workstations in a small space and still look amazing? Our first example is a great design with two separate matching desks that comfortably accommodates two workstations.
2. The two built-in workstations back-to-back design
This design is my favorite by far. It’s a moody contemporary design in darker colors (dark offers amazing lighting opportunities). I love the symmetry in this design. The only thing I’d change is more comfortable chairs. Don’t get me wrong, I like the look of the chairs but I wouldn’t want to sit in them for long periods. See more of this home.

4. The long built-in minimalist desk with room for multiple workstations
Here’s a great space-saving home office design especially for a minimalist look. It’s one long floating desk on which you can add as many workstations as you like. See more of this home.
5. Traditional l-shaped desk with two workstations
Here’s a utilitarian example that does the job. It’s not stunning but it’s attractive enough. While that desk arrangement is in a large space, it would work in a much smaller room. See more of this home.

11. The makeshift double desk home office
This is my least favorite home office in this entire collection of designs but I included it because the reality for many is that we slap together a home office with whatever we have in whatever spare room we have. This is a mishmash of styles; no cohesiveness. What it has going for it is the size which is big enough to comfortably accommodate two separate desks, a large reclining chair and sofa. While a tad too sterile for me, I do appreciate the clever inverted V-shaped desk which creates to workstations from one desk.
13. Spacious home office with two huge workstations on one long single-wall built-in desk
Here’s an amazing room for a home office with sitting area next to a fireplace. I love the long custom-built desk. Each workstation has its own window. There’s a door to the outside. The only thing I’d change is the brown carpeting; it blends too much with the the rest of the office.
14. Small landing minimalist home office with l-shaped built-in desk for two
Here’s a cozy yet modern style home office built into a small landing. The solid white built-in desk blends nicely with the walls creating a seamless-looking “mold-like” modern home office. I typically like more variety in design, but this works nicely. See more of this home.

16. Industrial-style home office with two techy workstations
The above home office reminds me a start-up incubator-style space or a public shared office with hot desks. It’s messy but that adds to the appeal. These are hardcore workstations with multiple monitors, PCs, no adornment all on a very cool concrete floor.
17. U-shaped built-in custom desk with two workstations and loads of storage
We wrap up our collection of ideas with a spacious U-shaped built-in massive desk arrangement with matching storage that comfortably accommodates two work areas. I would have made the storage cabinets a different tone of wood to add some contrast or variety in this design.
