There are plenty of creative and unusual “hacks” out there, but this particular video posted by YouTube creator Bargain Bethany is a must-see. In fact, it already has over 2.2 million views! If you’re planning a wedding, or a big party, or if you just want to add a gorgeous spring centerpiece to your dining room table, then this YouTube Short video is for you.
The first thing you’ll need to do is grab yourself a cheap plastic hula hoop (yes, a hula hoop-trust the process). You will also need some spray paint in the color of your choice, a round, flat piece of wood or thick cardboard, and a wooden rectangular plaque that is smaller than the round piece. The YouTuber said that she got all of these items from Dollar Tree.
She started by spray painting the hula hoop a beautiful gold color. While it dried, she took a hot glue gun and attached the wooden plaque to the round piece (she referred to it as a “wreath”). Next, she hot glued a smaller piece of green florist foam to the top of the plaque to create a three-tiered design. She then cut the hula hoop in half and poured the beads out.
She took a pair of sharp scissors and dug a small hole into the center of the foam since this is where the cut hula hoop will be inserted. Before she inserted it into the foam, she added some hot glue to the holes for good measure which will keep the hoop in place.
If you need a visual of what this creative YouTuber did, you can watch the video right here:
As soon as her base was finished, she started decorating the hula hoop with beautiful faux flowers and greenery. She attached them to the hula hoop using zip ties so they stay securely in place. Once you design your own beautiful piece, just make sure that you cut off the excess length of the zip ties so they don’t stick out!
Once the hula hoop was adorned with flowers, she also inserted some more faux flowers all over the foam so that it covered everything nicely and added a colorful touch to the bottom portion. Next, she used her Cricut to make a cute sign that she attached to a small post, and inserted it into the center of the foam. You can skip this part if you want, or you can get creative and make a homemade sign of your own.
The best thing about this awesome and easy DIY project is that you can use it for anything! Decorate it for a wedding, birthday party, or the holiday season. It doesn’t cost a ton of money, it’s simple to do, and you can make several of these beautiful centerpieces for every season.

Now it’s time to head to the Dollar Tree and look for a hula hoop, grab some gorgeous faux vines and flowers, and pick out a beautiful paint color!
