This clever DIYer posted a video showing you exactly how to design a gorgeous plant gallery wall, but you can also use this technique to create a “classic” gallery wall with your favorite artwork and wall sculptures, too. Her quick and easy demo shows you exactly how to start and what to do so that the entire project is easy and seamless from start to finish.

The Process
The process starts by taking a large piece of brown kraft paper (you could use any type of paper or cardboard you like) and tracing your favorite frames and planters with a pen or marker. Cut each tracing out so they can be hung on the wall. These templates will help you visualize your gallery wall before you start hammering nails into the wall, and it gives you an opportunity to change things until you find the perfect style or placement that works for you. Next, using some painter’s tape, you simply attach your paper templates directly to the wall in your favorite design or arrangement so that you can see what everything will look like once it’s hung up.

After the templates are placed on the wall, you’ll need to hammer nails into the areas of the wall where you want to hang everything. The TikTok user also mentioned that you can use Command Strips if you want to, which should work just fine for most average-sized artwork and flat items like prints, etc. You’ll definitely need nails for pots, planters, and the heavier stuff.
All Kinds of Wall Gallery Ideas
Once the nails or strips are in place, you just remove the paper template and tape and start to hang your items up. The video also provided some ideas for where to obtain beautiful wall vases, planters, and artwork like flea markets and thrift stores. Once you’re happy with everything, you can fill the wall planters and other vessels with your favorite plants (real or fake).
