The legendary Ian Schrager rose to stardom in the late 1970s as a co-founder of the iconic club studio 54. He has listed his luxe West Village pad, New York, for under $ 10 million. This full-floor unit’s prized asset spreads across 3,800 square feet and has a private terrace overlooking the Hudson Rivers and the city skyline, a rear piece in that neighborhood.

Schrager got this three-bedroom condo in 2002 when it was still undergoing construction. He bought it for his ex-wife and their children. During that time, this glassy tower building was offered to deep-pocketed celebrities like Calvin Klein, Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman, Jean-Georges Vongerichten to own a floor each and the adjustment building it.
It has five bathrooms, an open kitchen with a balcony, a great room made of glass walls that curve to the home’s den. It also has a primary bedroom containing a large walk-in closet, a dressing room, and a primary bathroom.
The magnificent sun-filled apartments were coveted for ample space, glass walls, and state-of-the-art gym and room service.
According to the New York Daily News, Schrager put this property on sale for an initial $ 11 million three years ago. But, after a catastrophic year that affected property sales all over, Manhattan real estate has slashed the price to $ 9.95 million. The listing agents include Douglas Elliman’s Madeline Dennis Mangone and Hult Elghanayan in New York.
The bedrooms are spacious and have wood-paneled walls and built-in shelves and cabinets when you enter the apartment. Natural light reflects into the room from the glass walls.
On the other hand, the bathrooms have a unique design, with shiny light golden vanities and metallic hue on the counter and drawers and large mirrors. Also, you will find a nice bathtub that is adorned with colorful wall-mounted artwork.
What I like about this apartment is how well it brings natural light inside the room; you can save on energy costs. The balconies are all positioned well to have a nice view of the river adjacent and the skyline. You can also enjoy a riverside and tree-lined street walk.
Ian Schrager was born on July 19, 1946. He is an American entrepreneur, real estate developer, and hotelier. He mainly engages in co-creating of boutique hotels.
Schrager gained fame when he co-founded and core-owned Studio 54. He grew up in a Jewish family that resided in New York City. He went to college at Syracuse University, graduated with a BA, and later earned a JD at St. Johns University School of Law in 1971.
After the successful acquisition of Studio 54, which became a hit and an eye-opener for them, they decided to invest in the hospitality industry and opened several other hotels within the city.
