Dame Joan Collins, talented actress, author, and columnist, is selling her Manhattan apartment. Collins’ stunning career as an actress has spanned the better part of seven decades. Now, she’s selling her elegant Manhattan apartment, located in Midtown. It is currently listed for $2.095 million.
Dame Joan Collins is a household name, having starred in Hollywood classics and television series since the 1950s. After an already prolific career, she carried the soap opera Dynasty, which further launched her career and made her an international star. In 1982, she won a Golden Globe Award for her role in the show, and in 2015 she was made Dame for her extensive services to charity.

Her career was not limited to just a few avenues of the film — she was a star in many American and British films and television series, even before her role on Dynasty. Almost equal in fame to her career is her charitable work. She became vocal in the 1980s about a number of issues, ranging from children’s learning disabilities to neurological research. She has also fostered several children overseas over the last 35 years.
She purchased her Manhattan apartment in 2002 and has lived there on and off ever since. The building was built in 1957 and is located in Dorchester in Midtown, just a few blocks from Central Park and the nearby fine dining and shops. The apartment itself is a combination of three separate units in a white glove co-op building. The entire space is sunny, open, and airy, thanks to its many windows.
It features two primary bedroom suites in opposite wings, along with a third guest bedroom, as well as three bathrooms. One of its notable features, which Collins herself was known to adore, is its 16 closets.
The apartment features bright hardwood floors throughout, with a beautiful herringbone design in the formal dining room. Here, as is the case through each room, crisp white walls catch natural and reflect natural light. The kitchen is long, with plenty of cabinets for storage and beautiful stainless steel appliances.
The bedrooms feature a slightly darker hardwood flooring, with a denser herringbone design, which contrasts beautifully with white walls and broad floor-to-ceiling windows. The home office has a simple, light hardwood flooring, with several windows to let in plenty of natural light.
Across the better part of one of its long walls, a black build bookshelf with extra storage creates a perfect modern contrast for this workspace. On the opposite end, with the same layout as the office, is an in-home library. This room also features plenty of natural light and bookshelves that contrast nicely with the floor and walls.
The bathrooms feature broad mirrored walls and tiled floors, and one of the primary bathrooms has dark marble vanity.
While Collins spent the last few years deciding whether to let go of this apartment, she has settled on living almost full-time in London. Now, her Midtown Manhattan is on the market, listed for $2.095 million.
