I could spend all day taking in the details of the bold blue door and weathered teal walls, it’s just incredibly designed.
6. Cave-Style Italian Bathroom
I feel like I’ve stepped back in time in this Italian inspired stone bathroom. The feeling like you’ve walked down a hundred steps and stumbled onto the most incredible bathroom with a stone sink and stone walls. Everything feels like it’s been here for centuries yet it has a very modern vibe with the copper faucets and shower head and white shower basin.

7. Modern Stone-Influenced Bathroom
If the stone-age teleported to the 21st century you would have this beautiful bathroom creation. Gray stone walls throughout with large light wood framed windows creates a perfect mix of organic and modern design. The large freestanding tub is placed on a wood panel platform with a circle cut-out and exposed wood beam skylight above. A wood and stone floating vanity has dual white vessel sinks and sits opposite the wood bench that is placed in front of a large window full of sunlight.

I feel like you can always have a bit more fun and push the design limits a bit further with bathrooms, like with this stunning polished brass and chrome combo shower faucet. They’ve added in a brass stool where you can sit if needed or set your soap containers on. 10. 1970’s Gold-Influenced Bathroom
I feel like I’ve gone back in time a bit in this 1970’s inspired bathroom, which features stunning gold tiled walls and unique design choices. The gorgeous sink sits on a large marble floating base and the freestanding tub is set in chrome handles placed on a custom wood platform. A pony-wall like vanity is set into the wall to the left of the sink and golden yellow tiles are installed behind the tub for a pop of color.
11. Tropical Black & White Bathroom
Black painted walls and beautiful plants combine to create a tropical dream-like bathroom. The black & white star tile adds so much texture and depth to the moody and gorgeous backdrop. I love the framed gallery wall and all the different sized planters which carry a layered and relaxed vibe. The brass accents and marble shower wall add another level of sophistication to the overall design.
12. Deep Green & Brass Bathroom
Another moody and sophisticated modern bathroom featuring green accents and textured patterns. The wall mounted toilet and half-pedestal sink are so modern and fresh but paired with the pattern floor and green subway tile it feels warm and inviting. I really love the wall ledge above the sink, which creates a perfect place to put soaps and display a vase.
13. Blue & White Retro Bathroom
The deep blue and white tile in this bathroom creates a serious retro feel along with the curved sink. Normally I would remodel a bathroom in this state, but depending on the home and the design, keeping it like this would definitely create a conversation piece for all visiting guests. The only think I would change are those red & white towels to solid white and add some small art & rug to warm up the space a bit more.
14. Eclectic Rustic Bathroom
This eclectic and rustic style bathroom is by far one of the most interesting and head turning spaces I’ve seen. I like how they have created a long extension of the vanity to give the homeowner a space to do your hair and make-up. The industrial pendant lights are a nice touch paired with the long rust runner rug for a pop of color. The natural wood beam in corner of the shower is creative, and a nice juxtaposition to the modern shower.
15. Outdoor Vacation-Style Bathroom
Because this outdoor bathroom appears to be in a high-rise building with tall walls surrounding it, I’m assuming it is okay to bath or shower here. What an incredibly unique idea to enjoy the outdoors soaking in that luxurious tub or showering under the stars at night. Love the mix of stone and wood throughout, creates an incredible organic and modern design.
16. Chic Modern Marble Bathroom
I can’t say enough amazing things about this incredible marble floating sink, with it’s black white and green veins. It’s like art in a bathroom, and you can’t stop staring at it. The gray tiled walls and floor paired with the center mounted light sconces are just perfection. I absolutely adore the small antique wall mounted faucets and door knob, they take the design to another level of stunning.
17. Jet-Tub Tiled Bathroom
This jet-tub looks relaxing and comfortable in this beige tiled bathroom. I think custom roman shades would have been a better choice for the window instead of those short dark drapes. I do like how the patterned small-tiled shower and columns contrast against the plain beige floor and wall tile. The overall mood is neutral and relaxed.
18. New-Wave Inspired Bathroom
I’m getting flash-back vibes of the 1980’s new wave era, when I look at this contemporary bathroom. The black and white framed shower and soaking tub are whimsical and contrast against the teal blue retro vanity cabinet. Classic black and white flooring in a high-glass finish completes the seamless vintage design of this unique, new wave bathroom.
19. Monochromatic Gray Bathroom
This spacious monochromatic gray bathroom features an asymmetrical floating vanity with a vessel sink, along with a custom drop-in soaking tub and bench to the right. Square gray tile floor and white tiled walls compliments the asymmetrical style of the shed ceiling.

Unique Bathroom Designs
There are many aspects go into designing a bathroom like selecting the right tiles, flooring, fixtures, and plumbing. However, you also need to consider things like building permits, construction costs and the type of bathroom you are going to install.
Plumbing and drainage are going to be the most substantial obstacles in your design. You must ensure that everything is done correctly. It may not be a bad idea to hire a contractor for at least this part.
Types of Bathrooms
One of the most often overlooked rooms when designing a home makeover is the bathroom. However, it is one of the most frequently used rooms in the house.
Designing, remodeling and building a new bathroom is something that can be exciting and fun. There are some issues you need to plan for before you first start laying tile, though. A. Primary Bathrooms
Primary bathrooms will have all of the bathroom fixtures: toilet, sink tub and shower. These are usually private set bathrooms that are adjacent to the primary bedroom or centrally located between the bedrooms in the home.
Because of the size and the features installed, a primary bathroom will cost you more to remodel or build than a powder room. You should always plan carefully for each element in the primary bathroom and look for alternatives when shopping for a particular piece.
B. Powder Rooms
A powder room is a smaller bathroom that, in general, will only have a sink and a toilet. These bathrooms are reserved for guests and give them a place to go without having to find their way through your entire home.
Because powder rooms are generally a lot smaller than primary bathrooms, their costs can be kept quite low. A fresh coat of paint, for example, will give you an entirely new look and feel and cost a lot less than tile.
A. Modern
Modern styles make use of bold colors and bright accents usually in silver or chrome. This is why it is trendy for a bathroom. Chrome accents such as drawer knobs, faucet spouts and handles and modern chrome wall scones are very popular.
Finding the appropriate accents and design elements in your fixtures is easy. Almost every home improvement store will carry a wide variety of modern style bathroom pieces.
B. Traditional
In a traditional bathroom style, you will see a lot of beige and eggshell colors. These can be used to tie in with a myriad of colors for accent pieces such as shower curtains and floor mats.
You can even combine most styles with a traditional theme. Using traditional style lighting and sconces with blues, teals and greens will give your beach theme a nautical appeal. Accenting with faux wood handles and boat art will tie the space together nicely.
Features & Fixtures
Once your fixtures are selected, and in place, you get to explore your imagination with the elements. There will be several aspects to consider that you may not realize. You should think about both the type of flooring and storage space, also.
The style or theme you bring into your bathroom doesn’t need to match the rest of the home. You should consider what style and features you will use though, and make sure it is within your budget.
Bathrooms serve a purpose. Like a kitchen, there is a reason for the accessories in the room other than aesthetics. Your sinks need to be functional as well as stylish, and you can find a faucet that brings out the style you have chosen.
The toilets need to be easily accessed, and if you have issues sitting or standing, you should find a toilet with a taller height. Handicap access needs consideration as well; especially if a friend or family member that may visit is in a wheelchair or has difficulty using the facilities.
Bathtubs are one of the best fixtures in the bathrooms. You can have a basic tub or a lavish tub. Clawfoot tubs are making a large return to bathroom decorations, and you can find great deals at antique stores and second-hand shops.
The shower shouldn’t be overlooked either. You want to ensure you have a nice area to move in with enough room between the showerhead and the top of the head of your family members. There are hundreds of shower options to choose from and your budget and imagination are the only limits.
